Mark Robert Holt
HALLOWELL – Mark Robert Holt, 63, passed away on Dec. 5, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mark was born on Jan. 14, 1959, son of Robert & Patricia Holt.
Mark graduated from Hall-Dale High School in 1978. He worked for the Hallowell Water District for many years. He also worked as a heavy-duty mechanic, welder, and was employed by Motel 6 as a maintenance technician.
Mark loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed his last few summers fishing on the Kennebec River in his boat. Mark was a man of simple means with a giving soul.
Mark is survived by his brother, John Holt and wife Aurilla, their children Josh and Jessica; stepmother, Carol Holt; stepbrother, David Dionne; and several cousins. He is also survived by life-long friends, Annette Andreasen, Blake Harwood, and his “brothers” George Crumley and Fred Mitton.
He was predeceased by his parents; stepsister, Karen Dionne; and nephew, Bentley Holt.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Maine General Medical Center and Glenridge Comfort Care for the wonderful care Mark received.
There will be a graveside service Thursday, Dec 15 at the Hallowell Cemetery at 2:00, followed by PBRs at the Liberal Cup in Mark’s honor.
