Timothy J. Coitrone
CHELSEA – Timothy J. Coitrone, 62, of Chelsea passed away unexpectedly Wednesday , Dec. 14, 2022, at his home. He was born in Meriden, Conn., on Oct. 30, 1960, the son of William and Gilda Gullo Coitrone.
Tim attended Chelsea schools and graduated from Cony High School. He worked as a dry wall taper and moved to Meriden, Conn., where he met his wife Darlene. They moved back to Maine and they also lived in Hollywood, Fla., for many years.
Tim loved trucks, sports, and karaoke. He was funny and mischievous and had a big heart, helping anyone who needed it. He connected with his grandchildren, as he was a big kid himself. He loved having long conversations with friends.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, very dear uncle Theodore and aunt Beverly Coitrone, and an infant child, Joseph Allen Coitrone.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years Darlene Simmons, four children, Rose Coitrone and her husband Adam Bosse of Massachusetts, Tamee Jo Coitrone/Cargill and her husband Shayne of Hallowell, Mark and his wife Arielle Coitrone of Auburn, and James and his wife Kayla of Norridgewock, grandchildren, Robert (RJ) and Zoey Cargill, and Dayton and Elliott Coitrone, sisters Aileen RIchards of Connecticut, Wilma Tatlock of Boothbay, and Diane Mckinlay, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner on Sunday, December 18 from 2-4 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
