Mary Jane Sprague

FOUR OAKS, N.C. – Mary Jane Sprague, 72, Four Oaks, N.C., and formerly of South Gardiner, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, at the UNC Health Johnston, in Smithfield, N.C.

She was born in Damariscotta, Maine on Nov. 1, 1950, she was a daughter of the late Frederick P. McNally and Muriel Ann (Page) McNally. 

Mary enjoyed making arts and crafts for her family, and one of her favorite crafts was knitting. She enjoyed sitting down and knitting a blanket or sweater to give to her family.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne McNally; and stepmother, Bernice “Bunny” McNally.

Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Timothy Leon Sprague; son, Michael Sprague and wife Olivia; sister, Cynthia Michaud; brother, Robert McNally; Aunt Sandra Smith, and grandchildren, Mylee Sprague and Lauren Sprague. 

At the request of the family there will be no services.
