January First Friday event is set for 4-6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, on Main Street in Waterville.
The event celebrates the vibrant creativity of Waterville by inviting people downtown to engage in multidisciplinary arts experiences. Those who attend can meet artists, participate in various workshops, listen to live music, eat local food, and come together as a community.
“Where We Are Now: Maps and Doorways” an interactive paper-based installation created by artist Maggie Libby, will be featured at Greene Block + Studios, 18 Main St.
The Framemakers is open for extended hours, until 7 p.m., with three exhibitions on display.
Downtown businesses with First Friday offerings include: Incense and Peppermints, 48 Main St.; Front & Main, 9 Main St.; The Robin’s Nest, 173 Main St.; Portland Pie Waterville, 173 Main St.; The Costume Shop, 179 Main St., Suite 214, a pop-up art and clothing shop by CE Nilles.
