Jenny Lee (Darge) Spencer
SKOWHEGAN – Jenny Lee (Darge) Spencer, 63, of Skowhegan, Maine, earned her angel wings on Jan. 4, 2023, after a hard fought battle with cancer. While the battle was hard, she was a gracious fighter, and continued to be a lover of life, family, and friends.
Jenny was born in Bath, Maine, on Oct. 22, 1959, to her parents Ronald and Sandra Darge, and was a graduate from Skowhegan Area High School.
Jenny treasured her daughters Tonya Goucher and LoRay Scott from her marriage (1978-2003) to Larry Spencer, her son-in-law Seth Goucher, and seven grandchildren. She loved spending time traveling with her daughters, grandchildren, mother, and sister. She later met the love of her life Dennis Flynn, who she loved antiquing with and learning about rare glass bottles.
Jenny was predeceased by her brother Ronald “Butch” Darge, her first daughter Jessica, twin boys Larry and Douglas, her father Ronald Darge, nephew Kaldon Goodwin, and her aunt Carrie.
She is survived by her partner in life Dennis Flynn, daughters, Tonya Goucher and husband Seth, LoRay Scott and partner Mike Bishop, grandchildren Ava, Aleela, Kessa, Blake, Sawyer, Aoife, and Brenna. Her stepdaughters, Courtney Flynn and partner Taylor Stevens, Hilary Walsh and husband John, Audrey Flynn and partner Hollis Mallett. Along with her mother Sandra Darge, siblings, August/Suzette Darge, Anna Goodwin, William/Tiffany Darge, and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly.
Services will be held at New Beginnings Church Of God in Waterville Maine, on Jan. 21, 2023, at 2 p.m.
The family requests donations be made to the Dempsey Center, a resource that helped Jenny and her family in the beginning of her battle, as it continually does many others.
