Jeannine Marie Treadwell

ETNA – Jeannine Marie Treadwell, 83, of Etna, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Jan. 11, 2023.

Jeannine was a woman strong in her faith and enjoyed attending church each and every Sunday. She enjoyed spending time with many family and friends throughout central Maine.

She was a lifelong seamstress with a love of puzzles in her spare time. Jeannine enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren on the racetrack and at fairs competing in horse pulls. She was known for her fashion sense and her love of shoes.

Jeannine was born April 16, 1939, the daughter of the late George and Theresa Begin in The Forks.

She is survived by her husband, Frederick Treadwell; son, Larry (Deana) Moore, son, Leonard (Karen) Moore, daughter, Liane (Wayne) Whalen, son, Leland (Gail) Moore, daughter, Laura (Jeff) Lancaster, son, Jason (Naomi) Bean. She is also survived by her brothers Jim (Joyce) Begin, Louis (Pam) Begin, Norman (Melissa) Begin, sisters Yvonne (Al) Brown, Theresa (Gerry) Sirois. Jeannine was further survived by several nieces, nephews; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lonnie (Marian) Moore; parents George and Theresa Begin; sisters Arlene (Don) Withee, Yvette (Gordon) Cullinan.

A service will be held at a later date.
