SABATTUS — A two-vehicle crash Monday night at Sabattus Street and Middle Road sent three people to the hospital, according to officials.
A Sabattus couple in a 2021 Volkswagen heading northbound on Sabattus Road were making a left turn when their vehicle collided head-on with a 2022 Mitsubishi heading southbound, Sabattus Police Chief Erik Baker said Tuesday.
The Mitsubishi’s driver and two passengers, including a 4-year-old, all of Buckfield, suffered minor injuries with complaints of pain. Two ambulances from United Ambulance Service transported them to a local hospital.
The Sabattus couple declined treatment.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
The Sabattus Fire Department responded to the crash at 7:43 p.m., along with United Ambulance Service, Lisbon Emergency and the Auburn Fire Department.
The road was reopened at 8:43 p.m. No citations have been issued.
