George T. Barker

PEYTON, Colo. – George T. Barker, 77, died Jan. 15, 2023.

He was born April 25, 1945 in Bangor, a son of Weldon and Lillian (Bridges) Barker. George was a proud veteran, serving 20 years in the U.S. Army.

After his military retirement, he enjoyed working and volunteering at health care facilities in both Colorado and Maine. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, singing, reminiscing with family and friends, pets, and the color red.

George leaves behind a stepdaughter and her family in Colorado; along with many nieces and nephews here in Maine.

A memorial service will be held in the spring at Skowhegan Federated Church. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written condolences at http://www.CrosbyNeal.com
