The Camden Garden Club is scheduled to host a free Zoom presentation 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 on the topic of “Sugar, Sex & Poison: Shocking Plant Secrets Caught on Camera.”
Speaker Bill Cullina will discuss how this world of pollen, poisons, pigments, pheromones, sugars and sex translates to sound organic practices from which all can benefit.

Cullina is the F. Otto Haas Executive Director of the Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to this he was the president and CEO of Coastal Maine Botanical Garden for 11 years, according to a news release from Cayla Mäki-Pittman, Communication & Publicity Committee chair with the Camden Garden Club.
Cullina holds degrees in plant science and psychology, has been working in public horticulture for 25 years, and has extensive experience in horticultural and forestry research, as well as commercial nursery production.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
