MONMOUTH — No injuries were reported at a residential fire on Back Street in North Monmouth, but the house is a loss, officials said.
The Monmouth Fire Department was called to the scene around noon Saturday, said Fire Capt. Dan Roy, and at 3:30 p.m., they were still battling the blaze.
Firefighters first on scene were not sure where the fire initially started in the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Office of State Fire Marshal.
Fire departments from Wales, Greene, Litchfield and Winthrop and EMS from Winthrop responded to the scene in addition to Monmouth firefighters.
