FARMINGTON — Skowhegan Savings recently celebrated the opening of the new Farmington branch with a ribbon cutting. The just under 2,400-square-foot branch on Wilton Road replaces their former branch on Hannaford Drive.
“We’ve been in Franklin County for a decade now. It just feels like home, but we had outgrown our former home here in Farmington and this new branch was designed to better serve our customers in the region,” David Cyr, president and CEO of the bank said while addressing the crowd, according to a news release from the bank.
The bank broke ground on the new branch in July 2022 and with the help of numerous local contractors, officially opened the doors to customers in March. Many of those contractors were in attendance for the ribbon cutting, including Plymouth Engineering, Knowlton Cabinet, Ware Butler, Lynch Landscape, Bobs Cash Fuel, Cayer Security, ABT Plumbing Heating & Cooling, E L Vining & Son, Sherwin Williams, Quality Electric, The Maine Painting Co. and Mark Jones Drywall.
“I want to thank all of those involved in making this branch a reality, from the Town of Farmington, contractors and our team here at the branch,” said Cyr. “We look forward to assisting those in the area with their business and personal banking needs from this new facility for years to come.”
