WINTHROP – Elaine M. (Marchand) Mann, 87, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at home. She was the wife of the late Charles R. “Chuck” Mann with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.

Elaine was born May 30, 1935, in Medford, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Madeline (Aaron) Marchand. She was raised in Medford, Massachusetts and graduated from Medford High School.

After marrying Chuck, she traveled with Chuck while he was serving in the military. Upon retiring they resided in New Hampshire for several years until moving to Maine in 1992.

Elaine enjoyed rug hooking, knitting, and cooking. She and Chuck wrote a family cookbook “Family and Friends Cookbook.”

She is survived by her children, Robert Mann of Winthrop, Mary Lou Moore and her husband Raymond of North Monmouth, Jon Mann and his wife Sue of Nashua, N.H., and Amy Jalbert and her husband Tom of Winthrop. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Regina Marchand as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her loving husband Chuck, mother and father, Elaine was predeceased by her daughter Cheryl Reeder.

In honoring Elaine’s wishes there will be a private family service at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Blue Star Ave in Augusta.
