WATERVILLE — The Colby College Woodsmen team is scheduled to host its home Mud Meet from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 15.
The event will be held at the Colby Woodsmen field, located across Washington Street from the Hillside Parking Lot on the Colby College campus.
This is a public event; viewers are welcome to come and watch some timber sports action.
Teams will compete from schools in the Northeast and Canada in a variety of traditional timbers sports events. Events are based on traditional tasks that lumberjacks would have to do, including chopping wood, climbing poles and sawing, according to a news release from the Colby College Woodsmen.
The Colby College Woodsmen is a co-ed student athletic club.
