Dorothy E. Spear
WAYNE- Dorothy E. Spear, 84, entered peacefully into her heavenly home, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Wiscasset on June 7, 1938, to the late Harland Morrison and Betsy Delano.
At a young age Dorothy worked in a fish factory followed by many years working in the health care field providing care and comfort to those in which she supported. Dorothy truly enjoyed caring for others.
She was an avid member of Victory Baptist Church in Winthrop for many years, where she made many memories and loved God and loved to share his word with others.
In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, fishing, paint by numbers, flowers and caring for her birds. Above all, she loved spending time with her family that she held so close to her heart.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters Betsy Dufour of Wayne, Laura Kenyon of Michigan, Betty Mills of Wayne, Barbara Morrison of Belgrade, Deborah Wilson of Lewiston, son, Harland (Charlie) Stanley of Topsham and daughter, Theresa Henry of Windsor, her best friend and sister Gertrude Turcotte of Randolph, 20 grandchildren, Lydia Longstaff, Caroline Saucier, Daniel Boynton, Marilyn Branagan, Rosemary Branagan, Shannon Kenyon, Megan Vanlandingham, Emily Kenyon, Tammy Alley, Kenneth Mills, Lisa Church, Melissa Johnson, Joshua Stanley, Jessica Wilson, John Wilson, Michael Newcombe, Casey Erlebach, Richard Batchelder, Lilly Stanley and Eli Stanley. As well as her loving companion, Donald Moulton of Wayne along with many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Kenneth Spear, sister Carol Bagley and son Edwin Church.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 1170 US-202 Winthrop, on April 15, 2023 at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
