Philip J. Bell
AUGUSTA – Philip J. Bell, 89, died Monday, April 10, 2023 following a brief illness. He was born in Fort Fairfield on Jan. 29, 1934, a son of the late Charles and Lucy (Cote) Bell.
Mr. Bell attended school in Augusta and had worked as a Laborer for many years for several Construction businesses.
He was an avid Candlepin bowler and enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes.
Mr. Bell was predeceased by his wife, Theresa L. (Marois) Bell; son-in-law Steve Pass; and several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Pass and her fiancé Kenneth Boucher of Augusta and Lori Allen and her husband William of Windsor; a special nephew Stephen Marois; a sister, Gertrude Sanford of Augusta, a brother, Robert Bell of Windsor; three grandchildren, Jen Lanphier and her husband Justin, Dan Pass and his partner Zosia Kotecka, Matt Allen; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Bryson Lanphier; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday, June 1 at 10 a.m. at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
