Arlan Richard “Rick” Littlefield

AUGUSTA – Arlan Richard “Rick” Littlefield, 63, passed away on April 10, 2023 at Maine General Rehabilitation & Long Term Care at Glenridge in Augusta. He was born on March 14, 1960 in Augusta.

Rick was a 1979 graduate of Cony High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army, serving for three years as a Tank Turret Mechanic. He worked for several years at North Center Food Service before earning his CDL and becoming a truck driver. Rick went on to create R&C Trucking running coast to coast as an owner-operator and made countless trips across the United States and Canada before finishing out his professional career with Boulet’s Truck Service.

He enjoyed listening to “oldie” music, 4 wheeling, long hauls in his Kenworth, tinkering in the garage, spending time with family and a good meal from Red Barn, Dysarts or Bolley’s Famous Franks. Rick enjoyed sharing stories of his travels and work, reciting jokes, playing small pranks and anything that would make those in his company laugh.

Rick was predeceased by his foster parents Dana and Geraldine Nelson of Windsor; parents Arlan Littlefield of Maine and Anna Littlefield of Indiana; a sister, Sheri Cormier of Windsor; and a son, Brian Skehan of Augusta.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Collins-Littlefield of Augusta; his children, Heather Littlefield of Brunswick, Josh Skehan of Alfred, and Nicole Baez of Watervliet, NY; five grandchildren; siblings, Debbie and Curt Madsen of West Gardiner, Donna Dostie of Hooksett, NH, Ted Stephens of Oklahoma, Julie Littlefield and Jim Doulas of Cornish, Jody Littlefield of Oxford, Jon Littlefield and Darrell Littlefield of Indiana; and many other family and friends.

No services will be held for Rick.
