Robert S. Post
ATHENS – Robert S. Post, 83, born, Brighton Plantation, passed away April 15, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 9, 1939, the son of Stanley and Francis (Beathem) Post. During his childhood he moved around quite a bit in the Dover and Monson areas. Robert first started working for Norridgewock and Dexter Shoe. He also worked on a local farm. He worked for Jim Hilton doing Tri-County Septic. Eventually, he purchased the business Tri-County Septic, owning and operating it for many years.
Robert loved his family, they were always number one for him, he was an amazing dad and always made sure they came first, above all else. He enjoyed spending time at camp, many memories were made there. He was a tinkerer; he could fix anything with a motor. He was a gentle soul, never saying no to anyone, and always willing to lend a helping hand.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria; and three grandchildren, Shanon Post, Tonia Post, and Paul Anton.
He is survived by his sister, Elizabeth; his children, Harland and spouse Lorraine Post, Venessa and spouse Guy Anton, and Lorrie Post; great-grandchildren, Emma Anton, Natalie Anton, Jacob Anton, Cameron Davis, Braden Davis, Ethan Post, and Ashton Post; granddaughter, Allison Davis, granddaughter-in-law, Kristin Post; as well as many friends.
The family would like to thank MaineGeneral Hospice for the care and support they gave to our family during a difficult time.
