MANCHESTER — Teams plan to gather for the Hammond Lumber Cornhole for a Cause tournament on Thursday, June 1 at The Woodshed, 915 Western Ave., to compete for cash prizes.
This inaugural event will be managed by Wicked Cornhole with cash prizes of $750 for the first place team, $500 for the second and $250 for the third.
The Woodshed is home to the “Maine Cabin Masters” reality TV show, and players can meet a cabin master in the competition.
Proceeds raised from this event will support Rome’s Pine Tree Camp’s tuition fund for Maine kids and adults with disabilities to have the experience of a lifetime this summer at camp, according to a news release from Adria King, donor relations director with Pine Tree Society.
This evening will feature a WABI TV5 live broadcast, music by Jay McClure and special guests. Local food and beverages served up by The Woodshed will be available for purchase.
Registration opens at 5:15 p.m. The tournament begins at 5:45 p.m. Registration is $60 per team.
