WINTHROP — The annual Lakeside Libations and Celebration is set for 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Winthrop YMCA Camp, 305 Winthrop Center Road
Julie Peacock, realtor with Vallee Harwood & Blouin Real Estate, has been named chairperson of the event, as announced by Elizabeth Neale, chairperson of the Friends of the Cobbosseee Watershed board, in a news release.
The Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed aims to protect the lakes, ponds and streams through community engagement, conservation and education.
Lakeside Libations and Celebration is sponsored by Kennebec Savings Bank, The Mendall Financial Group, Sprague and Curtis Real Estate, and Vallee Harwood & Blouin Real Estate.
This year’s honorees, the founders of the Friends of The Cobbossee Watershed, include Conrad Ayotte, Mark Johnston, Jay Snider, Hugh Stephens, Jeff Timms and Warren Winslow. Posthumously honored are Dave Flanagan, Elaine Fuller, Alan Ryan, Kenney Smith and Betty Stephens.
