WORCESTER, Mass. — Two local students at Worcester Polytechnic Institute completed their senior thesis as part of the university’s project-based educational experience, the Major Qualifying Project.
The project is usually team-based and often focuses on very specific issues or needs of an organization that has partnered with the university to sponsor the student’s work.
Hope Hutchinson of Greene, majoring in biology and biotechnology and professional writing, class of 2023, completed the project: BPA in Cellular Stress and Incidence of Reproductive Cancers.
Jacob Mills of Augusta, majoring in biomedical engineering, class of 2023, completed the project: Developing a Behavioral Assay for Tinnitus Characterization.
