FARMINGTON — Voters in Regional School Unit 9 approved the $41 million budget Tuesday. The combined vote was 651-216.

The individual tallies were: Chesterville, 31-31; Farmington, 220-41; Industry, 19-6; New Sharon, 44-16; New Vineyard, 10-12; Starks, 25-2; Temple, 28-15; Vienna, 29-7; Weld, 33-7; Wilton, 212-79.

The budget is 4.3% increase over fiscal year 2022-23, which ends June 30.

At abudget hearing was held on Tuesday, May 23, where RSU 9 Chairperson Carol Coles described the budget as a “frugal one” in her opening remarks. The overall budget was finalized at $41,710,668.
