Allan Wayne Nickerson

BURNHAM – Allan Wayne Nickerson, 79, passed peacefully on June 24, 2023 at the Togus VA.

He was born on July 23, 1943, in Waterville. The son of Linwood and Lottie (Blood) Nickerson. He graduated from MCI class of 1961 and joined the Navy 1961-1964.

He married Bonnie (Connell) Nickerson where they resided in Burnham. They had two daughters, Stephanie and Lisa. Allan worked at North East Shoe and San Antonio Shoe as a hand sewer / machinist and maintenance. He was a past member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge.

Allan enjoyed car racing, restoring and selling cars and gas pumps.

Allan is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughters Stephanie and fiancé James Bacon and Lisa and fiancé Freeman Patterson; grandsons Tyler / Anne Connolly of Franklin, Tenn. and Kyle / Shelby Connolly of Northport; and grandchildren Chloe, Claire, Sophia, and Jackson; brother, Arnold Nickerson; and many nieces and nephews.

Allan was predeceased by his parents; sister, Janice Coro and brother, Richard Nickerson; and son-in-law, Kip Conolly.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday July 1 at the Burnham Town Hall at 247 South Horseback Rd. from 1 to 3 p.m.

There will be no service per Allan’s request.
