Susan W. (Ladd) Clements
NORTH MONMOUTH – Susan W. (Ladd) Clements, 78, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Lewiston after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas Clements.
Susan was born July 5, 1944, in Jay. She is the daughter of the late Virgil Ladd and Geraldine “Gerry” (Waite) Nicholson. She was a resident of North Monmouth for most of her life.
Susan was a bus driver for the Town of Monmouth for over 30 years, having to retire due to her health. She was part of the office support staff for the Wolfington Group. She also worked at the family business, Nicholson Nursing Home, for several years.
Susan loved the time she spent around her table laughing and feeding family and friends, she was an amazing cook. Susan will always be remembered for the many dinners she served and her outgoing, loving, funny personality. She also loved animals as well as sharing her recipes with family and friends.
Susan is survived by her loving devoted children Tami Pelletier-Jack and her husband Mike of Buckfield, Blaine Carver and his wife Sarah of Evans, Ga., Heidi Burgess and her husband Doug of North Monmouth as well as her bonus daughter, Nan Gagnon and her husband Daniel of Sabattus; her sisters Constance “Connie” Burnham and her husband Ralph of Monmouth and Deborah Diamond of Sidney. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Kyle Pelletier and his wife Heather, Caitlin Roberts and her husband Rob, Richard Pelletier and his wife Amy, Michael Lindholm and his wife Kendle, Payton Carver and her fiancé Matt, Mackenzi Burgess and her partner Peter and Jaiden Jack; her great-grandchildren Gabriel, Logan, Ava, Sawyer, Eloise, Lucy “Baby LuLu”, Sailor, Reid, Charlee and Nora; as well as many nieces and nephews; and great friends
In addition to her husband, Thomas and parents, Susan was predeceased by her brother, Blaine Ladd and her brother-in-law, Michael Diamond.
The family would like to thank the staff at D’Youville 1 East for the care, love and support shown to Susan and her family.
In honoring with Susan’s wishes there will be a Celebration of her Life at a date and time to be announced.
