Norma Ann McQuarrie
MADISON – Norma Ann McQuarrie 81, of Madison passed away peacefully June 5 2023.
Norma was born Nov. 24, 1941, to the late Mahlon and Doris Turcotte of Skowhegan. After Norma graduated from Skowhegan Area High School she went on to attend beautician school. Norma married James D. McQuarrie on Jan. 18, 1964. They made their home in Madison and raised two daughters.
Norma’s biggest joy in life was her family. She was a homemaker and a wonderful wife and mother. She doted on her daughters. This all carried on as she became a grandmother to Brandi, Billy, Ryan, Matthew, Andrea and Tyler.
Norma had a love for horses from early on in her life. She loved to attend horse shows and participated in several parades on her beloved buckskin, Buck. She also enjoyed the trail rides with her many friends through the years, and hosted a dinner of Dynamites every fall after the last ride of the year. After several years of owning horses, Norma found a new love of riding ATV’s. She joined Moose Alley Riders ATV club and loved riding the trails with her many friends she made along the way. Norma’s talent of drawing and painting was admired by all. She made beautiful flower arrangements and was the happiest giving them to family and friends.
Norma was predeceased by her parents Mahlon and Doris Turcotte; sister, Sheila Moody, brother-in-law, David McQuarrie; great-granddaughter, Jovi Schinzel.
Norma is survived by her husband of 59 years, James “Poochie” McQuarrie; daughters Kelly and husband Ritchie Putnam, Lori and husband Dwayne Pullen; grandchildren Brandi Schinzel and partner Daniel Tewksbury, William Schinzel and wife Danielle, Ryan Schinzel and fiancée Alma Lopez, Matthew Smith, Andrea Hicks and husband Bryce, Tyler Duley; great-granddaughters Jerzey and Jalyne Tewksbury, Alyssa Schinzel, McKenna and Peyton Schinzel; niece, Kimberly Moody, nephew, Ronald Moody; cousins Lew and Connie Turcotte.

At the request of Norma there will be no funeral services. A celebration of Life will announced at the later date.
