MANCHESTER — Community members who have experienced the death of a family member or friend can register for the GriefShare program held at Hope Baptist Church, 726 Western Ave.
The program scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, July 21, covers spousal loss only.
From Aug. 4 through Oct. 27 is 13 weeks for all grieving loss, also beginning at 6 p.m. These will be held in Fellowship Hall serving light refreshments.
This nondenominational program features biblical teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a love one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was seen on the DVD, according to a news release from Joy Emmons.
Many grieving people find they are only beginning the work of healing when the friends or family have returned to their daily life routines. Workbooks can be purchased for a donation of $20. Child care is not available at this time.
