Robert J. Grenier
AUGUSTA – Robert J. Grenier, 48, was taken from us too soon on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. He was born in Lewiston, on Sept. 4, 1974, a son of Pauline P. (Bazinet) Dube and Norman F. Grenier.
Rob went to Cony High School in Augusta, where he was proud to be on the Wrestling Team with his brother but then graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn.
Rob was a big hearted person, who would help everyone he could. He loved watching and talking about all sports. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Fishing with his daughter Megan and his brother Brian was especially important to him. Rob always had lots of fishing and hunting stories. We would say “Rob was that fish really that big”. He could eye a deer from far away. His Mom was very special to him. Visiting her almost every night to have dinner and look out for the deer in the back field and share the view with her. Most of all he loved and adored his daughter and brother. He was very proud of his daughter and had a special bond with his brother. Also special to him was his sister Mo and two nephews (Hank and Oliver).
He was employed at Pat Jackson, Inc. for many years.
Rob was pre-deceased by his step-father, Eugene L. Dube.
He is survived by his daughter, Megan E. Grenier of Sidney; his mother, Pauline P. (Bazinet) Dube of Augusta; his father, Norman F. Grenier of Mechanic Falls; his brother, Brian R. Grenier and wife Natalie of Augusta; his sister, Moniqua L. D. Royer and husband Paul of Augusta, a half-brother Derek Grenier of Leeds and a step-sister, Kelley Allen and husband Bert of Sidney. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins that he enjoyed spending time with.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta.
