
Jeanette Rose Weber
GARDINER – Jeanette Rose Weber, 81, of Gardiner died Tuesday July 18, 2023, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta after a brief illness.
Jeanette was born Nov. 13, 1941, in Starks, the daughter of Brice and Phyllis (Nutt) Greenleaf.
Jeanette was raised in Starks and graduated from Madison High School.
She worked for the State of Maine, was a stay-at-home mom for several years, and then moved to Gardiner and went to work for Wise Uniform Company where she worked until her retirement.
Jeanette was a Red Sox fan and enjoyed gardening and puzzles. She was a member of Calvary Four Square Church in Gardiner and member and treasurer of the Gardiner Lions Club for many years.
She was predeceased by her special friend and companion, Ben Thompson, who she enjoyed camping and traveling with.
She is survived by her two children, Scott Weber and his wife Paula of Augusta and Susan Stoddard and her husband, David of Portland; granddaughter Victoria Leet and her husband, Tom and great grandson John Hugo Leet, all of Manchester; two sisters, Rachel York of Skowhegan and Virginia Hayden of North Anson and their families.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday Aug. 3, at 4 p.m. at the Calvary Four Square Church, 109 Old Brunswick Rd., Gardiner. A committal service will be held on Friday Aug. 4, at 10 a.m. at the Athearns Cemetery, Anson.
