Sharon Ann Deeves
RANDOLPH – Sharon Ann Deeves passed away peacefully at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, on July 26, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1937, in Wade, and proudly referred to herself as a “County Girl.” Sharon’s parents were Robert and Alma (Bean) Walker. She was raised by her grandparents Ruth and William E Walker.
She married D.M. “Deke” Deeves in Presque Isle on May 11, 1956.
Sharon attended Ricker Classical Institute and Farmington Teacher’s College. She worked at D.W. Adams clothing store and CPort Credit Union. Her favorite things were: spending time with family (she called that “her happy place”), attending sporting/events of her kids/grandkids, camping with friends, going to Oxford casino, reading, Facebook and playing cards. She was an avid Boston sports fan. She was dearly beloved, warm, feisty and fun!
She is survived by her husband, Deke of Randolph; sons: Robert (Gigi Ottmann) of Augusta and Richard (Susan Quirk) of Cumberland; a daughter, Lynn (Cyndy Thayer) of Richmond; four grandchildren: Suzannah (Nathan) Paradis of New Gloucester, Olivia (partner Cody Giberson) of Cumberland, Clara and Owen Deeves of Cumberland; 1 great grandson: Lincoln Paradis of New Gloucester and brother Gene Walker of Randolph.
Relatives and friends may visit on Sunday, August 6, from 2-5 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
