How grand to see the beauty of a blue block quilt along side part of the snail trail quilt in shades of brown. Every year I look for coverage of the Augusta Quilt Show and your fine photographer was published Aug. 1. Better late than never.
The day I attended was much busier than last year. I wonder who won the drawings? I voted for the pastel blue and gold quilt to honor Ukraine.
Last year the one long aisle of the quilt show had an assemblage of small blue and gold quilts to honor Ukraine. They were hung to look like a long flag on both sides of the aisle. It was stunning. Walking through and stopping to view each small quilt was a treat, made by Maine quilters.
Thanks for the photo from another quilting artist.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
