FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter’s Strut for Strays is set for 9 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, at Titcomb Mountain Ski Slope, 180 Ski Slope Road; rain or shine.
This is a family friendly walk/run. Attendees can stroll or stride with your favorite four-legged friend on a 5K course on the Whistlestop Trail.
This year’s event will feature the timed 5K run, food concessions, custom made tags for dogs at $5 each; and a silent auction with items donated by local merchants.
The event registration cost is $25 for those 11 and older and $30 day of the race. Participation for children 10 and younger is free.
All registrations received by Saturday, Aug. 26, will be guaranteed a 2023 event logo T-shirt.
To register, people can drop by the shelter at 550 Industry Road by 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7.
Those wanting to participate also can register on race day starting at 8 a.m., register online at fcanimalshelter.org or call the shelter at 207-778-1108.
