Elm City Duplicate Bridge winners on Tuesday were Sue Morrison and Gabrielle Rice.

Wilma Pouliott and Lee Lenfest placed second, and Natasha Rosenbaum and Barbara Terhune came in third.

Games begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St.; new players are welcome.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club

The Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club winners for Aug. 21 were Lorna Davis and Dennis Purington. Dot Murray and Lynn Macleod tied Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman for second place.

The winners on Aug. 22 were Tom Simmons and Anil Goswami. Lorrie Letourneau and Dennis Purington finished second, and Fred Letourneau and Sharon Hinckley finished third.

The games are played at noon Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road.

Participants should bring a partner. Those who need a partner can call Mitnik, the director, at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
