People can join the Kennebec Chordsmen for a family friendly, multi-generational musical experience. They can participate in a series of rehearsals which will culminate in a performance set for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6 at the Paul J. Schupf Art Center, 93 Main St.

Rehearsals will be from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursdays from Sept. 7-28 at 91 Marston Road in Waterville, and on Oct. 5 at the Schupf center, according to a news release from Waterville Creates.

All participants will receive a free T-shirt for their participation. Sheet music will be provided. Rehearsals are free.

This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and realized in partnership with the Colby College Museum of Art and its Lunder Institute for American Art.
