Ed and Joyce Rushton finished first at Elm City Duplicate Bridge on Sept. 5 in Waterville during the duplicate bridge session.
Natasha Rosenbaum and Jessie Gunther placed second, with Gabrielle Rice and Su Morrison third.
Games begin at 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Waterville Elks Lodge, 76 Industrial St.; new players are welcome.

Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club
The Capitol City Duplicate Bridge Club winners for Sept. 6 were Jane Elliott and Judy Danley. Paul Mitnik and Paul Sherman tied Jean Bird and Ken Harvey for second place.
The winners for Sept. 7 were Marilyn Ware and Martha Morrill. Sherman and David Martz placed second.
The games are played at noon Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday at the East Winthrop Baptist Church, 55 Old Village Road.
Participants should bring a partner. Those who need a partner can call Mitnik, the director, at 207-313-2648 at least two days in advance of the scheduled games.
