
Russell Warren Truman
MOSCOW – Russell Warren Truman, 55, gained his wings from pancreatic cancer on August 28, 2023, at his home with his niece Nancy Truman and sister Nancy Marston by his side.
Russell was born in Gardiner on Oct. 25, 1967, the son of Everett and Ella (Hood) Truman. Russell attended Gardiner schools. He worked for Augusta Public Works, restaurants, and the Salvation Army. Russell loved to play cribbage, softball, pool, and watch wrestling. He also loved to go out dancing with family and friends, making everyone laugh. May he rest in peace, pain free.
Russell was predeceased by his parents Everett and Ella Truman; brothers, James, Dale, Dennis, Everett Jr., and sisters Sandra and Evelyn.
Russell is survived by daughter Kodi Emerson, son Derek Maxim and granddaughter Marissa Leach; brothers, Gerald Truman (Wanda), Clyde Fowler Sr., and Robert Truman, ,sisters, Nancy Marston (Forrest), Jenny Kipp; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A “Celebration of Sober Life” for Russell will be held at The American Legion in Augusta, on Sept. 23 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
