James J. Staszewski
AUGUSTA – Senior Chief Petty Officer James J. Staszewski died September 12, 2023, at Maine Veteran’s Home in Augusta Maine. SPCO Staszewski was born August 8, 1947, to Joseph and Ida Mae Staszewski. He was a graduate of Brother Rice High School in Chicago, Il. After high school, James joined the Navy and soon met his wife, Victoria. They married in the Philipines in 1969. After retiring from the Navy, James worked many years at BIW and real estate before landing his final legacy, Four Corners General Store in West Gardiner, Maine. James is survived by his wife Victoria Staszewski, his son and daughter-in-law Jason and Billie Jo Staszewski, his daughter Harrizel Staszewski, his granddaughter Isabella Staszewski as well as brothers, a sister, and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing and visitation services will be held privately for immediate family members only. A public graveside service will be held Friday September 22, 2023, at 11 a.m., following a procession from Faith Chapel Funeral Home in Pensacola, Fla. The graveside services will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla. A celebration of life will immediately follow at 60 Fort Pickens Road on Pensacola Beach.
