GARDINER — The Maine Woodcarvers Association plans to hold its show and competition from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Gardiner Lions Club, 27 Lions Way.
Carvings will be on display by carvers from all levels. Attendees can vote for the carving that will receive the People’s Choice Award, according to a news release from the association.
There will be a raffle, a 50/50 drawing, and carving and wood vendors.
A highlight of the show will be MDI Woodcarvers Supply. People can pick up carving tools and supplies needed and save the shipping cost.
Admission costs $3 and is free for those younger than 12 and seniors.
Carvers can enter carvings from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, and 7:30-9 a.m. Oct. 7.
