The Norridgewock Public Library plans to host Skowhegan artist/illustrator Tammi Galbraith at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 at 40 Mercer Road.
As an illustrator, she has delighted many Mill Stream Elementary children in “Just a Little Fog and The Kennebec is Rising,” written by Barbara Winslow. As an artist, her work is multi-layered and explosive, according to a news release from Cornelia Pleasants at the library.

Galbraith’s show will be available for viewing during library hours until the end of November.
“I mostly use photographs I have taken of my own land to inspire my work, weaving color, movement, space, tension and shape together. It feels like I am writing a song or a poem with visual information,” said Galbraith, a lifelong resident of Maine.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
