Just a small shout-out to the unsung heroes of our towns! I will use Pittston as my example because we are blessed to have two of the best and hardest-working women in our office.

Deb Barry and Deb MacInnes take care of everyone in town in efficient, kind, and timely ways. They are always willing to explain how a process works, what you need to do and how to do it. They make sure all your town business is taken care of efficiently and with great kindness.

Both women not only perform their duties well, they go above and beyond in many instances. They have helped get smoke detectors into any person’s home who wants one (working with the fire department). They have food drives, household good drives and clothing drives to help those who might be a bit less fortunate than their neighbors. New residents also often get a “Welcome to Pittston” basket.

How lucky are we to have these women in our town office. We know many town offices are blessed in the same way we are in Pittston. Don’t forget to thank your town office workers for all they do!
