Although I am not a resident of Hallowell, I want to write to support Hannah Barry for the Hallowell City Council. I have known Hannah for over 20 years and can speak to her commitment to building and fostering an inclusive community. As a teenager, she took steps to cross real and perceived boundaries to inform her world view and continues to follow this path as an adult. She was then, and remains to this day, open-minded, caring, creative, and wise.

Hannah has life experiences that give her compassion and empathy for those who may feel that their voices are not being heard. She is a connector, open to listening to everyone’s ideas and then working to bring important ideas and initiatives together. The citizens of Hallowell will be fortunate to have Hannah Barry working for them building a vibrant, safe, and healthy community.
