On Nov. 7, I will be casting a vote for the re-election of Courtney Gary-Allen to the Augusta City Council. During her first three-year term on the Council, Courtney has proven herself to be a bright, capable and conscientious member of the city’s governing body.
Courtney is an astute student of government (currently finishing her master’s degree in pubic policy at USM’s Muskie School) who always does her homework as a councilor. She studies the issues that come before the council, listens to her constituents and votes her conscience.
Courtney has applied her considerable talents and energy to addressing the city’s challenges of affordable housing, quality public education, substance use disorder, economic development and controlling the rise in property taxes.
She’s earned a second term and I commend her for her willingness to do so.
Rep. Bill Bridgeo
(D-Augusta)
