I am grateful that Courtney Gary-Allen is serving on the Augusta City Council. As the only councilor who rents, she understands firsthand the challenges that many renters face, including high cost of living, limited availability of affordable housing, and poor living conditions.

Throughout her time on the council, Courtney has been a vocal advocate for solutions that address these issues. She has pushed for policies that increase access to affordable housing, provide vital repairs and maintenance for rental properties, and promote tenant rights and protections, while balancing the rights of landowners.

Courtney’s perspective as a renter highlights her commitment to making Augusta a place where everyone, regardless of their income or housing status, can thrive. She recognizes that access to safe, affordable housing is a basic human right and an issue of social justice, and has worked to ensure that Augusta is doing everything possible to provide this for its citizens. I hope the renters of Augusta join me in re-electing her this November!
