Maureen “Mo” AuCoin is known for her brilliance — both professionally and in her personal life. Mo doesn’t enjoy boasting about herself, but it’s plain to see that Mo has the technical skills and drive to take on the role of mayor for Hallowell. Mo already gives all she has to this town.

I’m not here to talk about Mo’s resume of greatness and her various proficiencies — she’s already proved herself. I’m here to talk about the way Mo listens to people when they talk; her face and body language create a container for compassion. I want to talk about the lightness and silliness that Mo carries with her, never letting the heaviness of life dull her brilliant spirit. Mo is joyous. Mo is curious. Mo is an endless well of care and passion.
