As a councilor, I have the opportunity to meet incredible people in Augusta. We live in a special place where people care about our history, our community, and the wellbeing of future generations we’re laying the foundations for now. Augustans are people of integrity, grit, and empathy. Without a doubt, Courtney Gary-Allen is one of the most Augusta Augustans you will ever meet.

Courtney has a heart and a mind for building community. She knows that a community thrives when everyone has a voice, so she defends and expands the democratic process. She knows a community flourishes when everyone is included, so she consistently thinks about who we haven’t reached and how we can pull them into the conversation. She knows that a community sustains itself when it is responsible, so she holds herself and our local government accountable in our spending and our transparency. Courtney thinks in terms of community and Augusta is better for it.

It has been an honor to serve alongside Courtney this past year. Our council would be sorely lacking without her voice. I hope you’ll join me in voting Gary-Allen for Augusta city councilor at-large on Nov. 7!
