RANGELEY — The Vestry of the Church of the Good Shepherd plans to host the 41st annual Senior Thanksgiving Community Dinner on Sunday, Nov. 19, in the undercroft of the 2614 Main St. church.
The sit-down dinner will feature waitstaff and decorations. All seniors and their caregivers are welcome. The dinner will include home-cooked turkey with all the trimmings and a fresh slice of pie.
Meals will also be available for take-away or delivery. There is no cost, but at-will donations will be accepted.
There will be two seatings: the first at 11:30 a.m. and the second at 1:30 p.m.
Volunteers and organizers include the Libby family, Heidi Ross and Good Shepherd Vestry members. The food will be donated by community members, local businesses and Good Shepherd.
Reservations are appreciated, but walk-ins are welcome.
To make a reservation, or to arrange for pick-up or delivery, contact the church office at 207-864-3381 or [email protected]. People should specify how many meals and which seating is preferred, or if they need pick-up or delivery, and provide contact information.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
