UNITY — The “Small Works, Big Dreams” holiday art show is set to be held through Friday, Dec. 22, at the Unity Public Library, 38 School St.
Eight artists, who have previously shown their work at the library, are filling the space with their art and have pledged to donate 20% of the proceeds from sales toward library programs.
Art by Kelly Desrosiers, Amy Gagnon, Vanessa Haley, Arlene Hulva, Sue Kischitz, Lyndsey Marston, Lucky Platt and Pam Schillab will be shown, according to a news release from Pat Allen, library art coordinator.
Paintings and drawings, prints, mixed media art, fabric sculptures and digitally produced images are among the media that will be on display at affordable prices for holiday shopping. The show will be open whenever the library is open.
Visit unitypubliclibrary.org for hours.
An opening reception will be held at the library from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
