SKOWHEGAN — The annual Leeke-Shaw Lecture on International Affairs is set for noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Margaret Chase Smith Library, 56 Norridgewock Ave.
Prof. Daniel Sandweiss from the University of Maine will speak.
In keeping with the climate change theme of the library’s co-sponsor, the Mid-Maine Global Forum, Sandweiss’ talk — “El Nino, Disaster, and Resilience on the Coast of Peru” — will look at the societal effects of changing weather patterns over centuries in the Andes region, according to a news release from the library.
