Anita L. Moody

AUGUSTA – Anita L. Moody, 68, died Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2023 at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. She was born in Augusta on July 22, 1955, a daughter of the late Edward R. and Madeline (Gagne) Michaud.

Mrs. Moody was a graduate of Cony High School was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She had been employed for over 20 years at Wal Mart in Augusta.

Mrs. Moody was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Leo Michaud, and her sister, Lorraine Lerette.

She is survived by her son, Charles L. Buckingham and his partner Vanessa Marceau of Oakland; her significant other, Patrick Lavigne of Augusta; two grandchildren, Jensen Buckingham and Jaila Brown; as well as nephew Adam Michaud and his wife Katrina of Oakland, along with other several nieces, nephews and cousins.

At her request, there will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Cemetery, Townsend Rd., Augusta.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta, ME.
