Artwalk Gardiner is set for 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, through the downtown.
The event will feature works by more than 30 local artists, ranging from painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, handmade books, jewelry, textiles and sculpture.
The artists and their work will be located in shops, galleries, artists’ studios, and other venues throughout downtown, according to a news release from Kaitlin Thibeau with Artwalk Gardiner.
There will be live music throughout the evening, as well as a chance to win an original piece of art made by one of the Artwalk’s participants for anyone who visits 10 or more event locations. To participate, pick up an event Artwalk Gardiner map when arriving at the event.
Artwalk Gardiner, in partnership with Gardiner Main Street, will take place amongst Johnson Hall’s Festival of Trees and the Downtown Gardiner Tree Lighting.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
