Phyllis Greene Richardson Kerr

SKOWHEGAN – Phyllis Greene Richardson Kerr passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on November 22, 2023 at the age of 88. She was born in Cornville and was the daughter of Ruby Gilman and Bruce Greene. She was the wife of late Jim Kerr and late Wayne Richardson.

Throughout her life, Phyllis was a homemaker as well as a farmer for over 50 years. She also worked at Dexter Shoe, New Balance, and Skowhegan Machine before retiring in 1980. Phyllis attended Skowhegan Business School for bookkeeping as well as KVCT for Medical Secretary.

Phyllis was predeceased by her mother, Ruby Gilman, her step-father, Edwin Gilman, and her father, Bruce Greene.

She is survived by her brother Walter Bigelow and sister Marilyn Gilman as well as her children; Ruby Gale Ouellette of Skowhegan and Rod Savage of Anson, Barbara and Douglas Pomelow of Winterport, Nathan Richardson and Pam Vaillancourt of Cornville, April and George Hertlein of Cornville, Michael Richardson and Ann Collins of Skowhegan, Randy Richardson and Elizbeth Berget of Santa Clarita, CA, Patrick and Lana Richardson of Bridgton Maine. She also survived by her grandchildren; Pamela Young, Benjamin Pomelow, Samantha and James Rackley, Cheyenne and Kyle Power, Abby Richardson, Nathan L. Richardson, Kendra Richardson, Kyle Richardson, Ashley Dowd, Nichols Richardson and great-grandchildren; Caitlyn and Joseph Young, Landon and Arthur Rackley, Tahlia and Jason Power. She will be buried at Collins Cemetery in Cornville.

Visitation will be held this Saturday, November 25 from 10AM to 12PM at Smart and Edward Funeral Home, 183 Madison Avenue in Skowhegan, followed by a brief service beginning at noon at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Collins Cemetery.
