Wiscasset Holiday Marketfest 2023 is planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Saturday, Dec. 1-3.

New this year is a Santa’s Workshop for families, a Christmas Cookie Challenge for bakers, a wreath-making demonstration, and workshops for holiday decoration making, according to a news release from Lucia Droby for Marketfest.
Familiar features return, such as the horse and wagon shuttle, wine tasting, tours of the Nickels-Sortwell House festooned for the season, and a free raffle for local dining, making a gift-shopping day in Wiscasset Village a satisfying Christmas tradition.
Help welcome Santa to his Wiscasset Village Workshop at 78 Main St., starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Santa will be arriving via a Merry & Bright Light Parade – cars, trucks, and ATVs lit and decorated for the season. When Santa arrives in the Village after parading around town, the evening’s festivities begin. Children waving light wands will guide him down the sidewalk to his local workshop.
